DONG YUHAO was born in Nantong, Jiangsu, China.
He graduated from Lancaster University with an Art bachelor's degree
and studied creative industries and cultural management at the University of Sheffield for his postgraduate studies.
His analogue photography style has a strong sense of atmosphere.
All his works are done in his own film laboratory at home, from exposure to development to digitisation.
He insists on using graininess to create an extremely easy-to-immerse trap, a space in the author's eyes.
The space is intimate, mysterious, like a dream captured from reality.
He hopes that by creating such a space, the audience can imagine the space beyond the image.
Once the imagination begins, the image takes on meaning.
